Track record - Working with Women, Help is @ Hand

The UKonline ICT Learning Centres are designed to increase access to ICTs and learning for socially excluded people.  Research and practical work with women confirms that specific measures are needed to achieve this.  We* were commissioned by the Department of Education and Employment to design online resource materials to enable centre managers and trainers/tutors to cater for women’s diverse needs and address gender issues  in approaches to learning how to use ICTs. *with Margaret Page

The Working with Women pages offer comprehensive guidance to address specific needs of diverse women as ICT learners. I created this new, accessible material with help from disparate often unpublished work and drawing on the expertise of others, mostly women working in educational settings with women over many years.  I devised the structure, content and links, writing and collating material and resources to integrate with the rest of the site.
